Landscapes
I am constantly excited to see the colours and shapes that occur naturally in landscape and the environment which I recreate in my work. I am massively inspired by the ancient ridgeway, which I am fortunate enough to see from my home studio. The ridgeway is a route used since prehistoric times by travellers, herdsmen and soldiers, and the 87 mile long path passes through ancient landscapes, down land, secluded valleys and woodland. The essence of these spaces can be found in my work, both in my chalk pastel slate paintings and acrylic paintings on canvas and board.
