Animals & Birds
For years I have been fascinated by rendering the textures and colours of fur and feathers. My work has an abstract quality in that brushstrokes and marks form the basis of the painting, often gaining realism as they get closer to the subject’s eye. I have often produced collections of work to try to highlight the issues facing British wildlife and the near extinction of many species that used to be prolific in our hedgerows and fields.
